She was born on December 22 in 1972 in Saint-Maur-des Fossés in France, he was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on June in 1963. Thousands of miles and almost ten years were separating them, still Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp are one of the most romantic and fascinating couples today, nourished with passionate love that lasts for over eleven years now.

Together since the end of the nineties, they have hidden their love away from the limelight and the red carpets which makes the mystery of their togetherness even more fascinating. The moment they met, related by Johnny Depp, seems to come from one of his movies : « I remember the day I met her for the first time in Costes Hotel eleven years ago. She was turning her back at me and the first thing I saw of her was her neck. I was carried away when she turned around and looked at me. I just stayed there, mesmerized. I still am today ». Everything seems to be so natural about this duet who are parents of two, Lily Rose, 10 and Jack, 7. They escaped the Hollywood fuss and moved to a farm in the South of France where they lead a calm and steady life, just like anyone else in their small village of Plan-de-la-Tour. « We don't go out much. It's not like we were refusing it to ourselves, but that's not who we are », Vanessa told French « Figaro ». Johnny often says that she made him see the light : « Vanessa is a miracle in my life. I feel as though I've met The One you used to think about as a child, the one you were searching the world over, trying to find. She's incredibly understanding, and she's been dealing with me for years, which is no mean task. We're on the same page, she and I ».

Instinctively, Vannessa confessed to Elle magazine : « Maybe I'm a good companion, because I'm his. I'm not sure to match anyone else and it's the same for him. It's hard to explain, but there's a natural and beautiful evidence about it ».

What could they possibly be missing? They've got love, a beautiful family, elegance, talent...everything. A marriage, maybe? Not as far as Mr. Depp is concerned : « For all intents and purposes we are married. We have two kids together and she is the woman in my life. But if she ever said: 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second. We'll do it if the kids want us to, or maybe when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with us."

And as an echo Vanessa responds : "I belong to him and he knows that".
